Types of contact lenses
Contact lens types may differ based on their material, how long they are worn each day, and how often they should be replaced. The most common contact lens types include the following:
Daily disposable: Great for occasional or everyday use, daily disposables are a no-fuss option if you prefer to keep your routines minimal. You won’t need to clean them with solution, you simply open a fresh pair and dispose of them at the end of the day. If you suffer from allergies such as hay fever, you may find daily disposables more comfortable. They’re perfect for travel too, as you’ll need to carry less liquids when flying.
Monthly: These contact lenses need a little more TLC, but as you’re buying fewer contact lenses, you may find these a bit more affordable - you’ll need just 12 pairs of contact lenses each year. Each night you’ll need to remove your contact lenses and place them into a solution to kill any bacteria and make sure they’re safe to use.
