As an In-store Promoter, you will work on behalf of our M&S Opticians, within the store, to increase awareness of our brand and location within the store as well as promote positive customer interactions. You will be responsible for striving to expand our customer base, eye test and hearing assessment numbers, and maximising all sales opportunities including browsers.
Your key responsibilities will include talking to passing customer traffic, identifying times and areas with the highest footfall inside and outside the store and being accountable for acquiring a weekly target of appointments. This role also includes planning daily, weekly, and monthly promotional and sales initiatives with the Opticians Manager and agreeing strategies for success, along with liaising with the wider M&S store on how best to deliver targets.

You will need to have a vibrant personality and be happy to talk to anyone and everyone! Ultimately, your role is to drive appointments – both optical and hearing – into the Opticians while representing the M&S Opticians brand in the wider store. You will need to have:
Strong customer services and communication skills – a people person!
Proven selling skills in a retail environment
Self-motivated to drive appointments
Able to support and work well as part of the wider Opticians team
